Radio waves focused down to receiver focal plane
Temperature of "bolometers" tracks intensity of incoming radiation from small patches of sky
Whole telescope moves (scans) and we read out the *changing* temperatures
Signal is tiny! - Bolometers have to be super cold
Integrate (average down the noise) for 100's of days
