The Theory of Inflation posits a brief period of hyper expansion which blows up a tiny region of space to a size much larger than the entire observable universe today
The CMB is uniform because everything we see now comes from the same "primordial speck"
This process automatically produces flat space and equal number of blobs of all sizes
